During making my book, I had researched various book; various ways to make book, some artist and books which I can see in normal. It was a time to think about meaning of book. Book is one way of the best for communication. As making book, I thought a lot of area use book. For example, in education, students use textbook for learning and kids read storybook. Paper Material Research I had material research. Until now, I haven't have material research. On part 2 assessment, my tutor said, you need material research more. I realized that material is really important part. I always think material is just function. but it was not only function. Every material has different factors like colour, texture, weight, thickness...etc. These factors give people different feelings and make them think differently about the design. I learned material is good and enough way to communicate and why I need material experiments on work process. Material is obviously communication.

I had an workshop. We discussed about Mona Lisa. He showed us Mona Lisa painting on screen and asked what you think it as one word. Students answered, Mona Lisa, painting, art, oil painting... I answered "artwork". He said, it's just an screen. He was talking about the digital era that people can research and see many information including art work.  We discussed the disadvantages and benefits of visiting the gallery and researching on the Internet.  We can search and know any information on internet, even if we can't go there. Also,  nowadays, people have a lot of good camera, so we can see the pictures of good quality on screen.  I think that it is also a good point to be able to see the pictures in detail and in large. But the factor which is a good part can be a bad part. On screen, I can't feel exactly because we can't know their size or texture. In case of Mona Lisa, many people know about that, but can't imagine their size. Actually, ...

Book Making Process Draw and Paint brain cells First trying book

I finished to make hanger and toilet paper. Hanger I used only photoshop on making hanger because getting material for hanger is not easy and making also is hard. Toilet paper Monday Activity(12.March) activity: we choose three card which is written something: each means place, scale and material.               and think about it associated with our FMP project. My fmp project is about stereotype. I chose police car(place), elephant tusk(scale) and brick(material). My various ideas and make... My Fmp line is stereotype : it doesn't refer to specific thing and contain huge area. So I chose one object, and that's book. The last time, I decided to make my own book and that's why I chose book. I thought simply. My scale word was elephant tusk and I started to think about book as big as elephant tusk. I had wood sticks and one real book so I made long book. I experimented to make other different design(three object) and I will have new experiments(two project) by inspiration two artist. First project : ?+?=? : when I start this FMP project, I researched Daniel Eatock. He has one + one project :  based works that each established a range of formal, practical or conceptual conceits connecting two otherwise independently existing objects. Under the inspiration of Daniel Eatock, I will have ?+?=?. It's experimented to mix one object and one object.  Second project : change size, change color, change shape : The last time, I researched Jackson Hong. By inspiration him, I will have experiment to change something by size, color or shape. 

Jackson Hong - Korean contemporary artists who recommended by professionals actively working in various fields of contemporary art his work I found one exhibition called Jackson Hong's object exploration game. This exhibition shows reversal of objects we thought we knew well. For example, he expressed that pencil is heavy and non living spanner is made of arms and tails. He changed their attribute and made new story. In this exhibition, we are smaller than pencil and non-living spanner is alive like lizard. This exhibition aims to show how to change familiar world to new world for kids and give them enjoyment. These ideas like changing objects are techniques used in art and design. It's very interesting. By changing something by size, material or color, we can make new story and new world. I'll also have experiment like this exhibition or this artist for my FMP project.

My experiment book I wanted to make circular book which can roll because it's stereotype experiment book. But making circle is hard so I changed little bit.  and I will draw and paint brain cells because when I think stereotype, brain cells come to mind.  and personally, I like painting. Process... I bought thick paper and made hexagon shape.

The last time, I designed and made some sunglasses. I finished to make sunglasses and designed hanger and toilet paper. Sunglasses Hanger research and design experiment I used wood stick and string but it looks like toy. So I will design hanger by using photoshop. Toilet research and design My Plan It's not easy to make my ideas and get real materials. So I will make some objects on photoshop. Also, I planned to exhibit my 3D works as final works but I have many objects and think that I can't show everything in class. So I changed my plan little bit. I'll make my own experiment book and make people see my experiments(3D works) through photos.
